Accessibility statement
This site is designed to be usable by everyone in the village, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
How accessible this website is
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA, as required by the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
What we have done
Body text is set at 19 pixels and meets AAA contrast (7:1 or better) against the page. Every interactive control is at least 48 by 48 pixels and has a visible focus outline. The site can be operated entirely by keyboard, works at 200% zoom down to a 320 pixel screen, and never uses colour as the only way of showing status. Animation is disabled for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
Reporting a problem
If you find something you cannot use, please tell the Clerk. Say which page it was and what happened, and we will fix it and reply to you.
Enforcement
If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
PLACEHOLDER: this statement must be reviewed, dated and signed off by the Council before go-live, and updated after any accessibility audit.
